Lockdown Lifelines

Grappling with loneliness, financial worries, and health issues are challenging on a normal day. These days are anything but normal. I’ve heard firsthand from older relatives sheltering alone, neighbors worried about the disrupted routines of children with disabilities, and friends who are seeing their small businesses hollowed out, resulting in heart-breaking layoffs. We are all struggling at some level – but if you or someone you know is in a dire situation, these resources can help:

  • The National Suicide Prevention hotline 800-273-TALK The Lifeline provides 24/7, free, and confidential support for people in distress, as well as prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones.
